📌
Cómo in exclamations — ¿Cómo? means "How?" in direct questions but also appears in exclamations: ¡Cómo llueve! (How it's raining! / It's raining so hard!). In indirect questions it keeps the accent: No sé cómo lo hizo. Without accent, como is a conjunction (as/like) or verb (como = I eat).
🔧
Cuánto agrees when it's an adjective — As a question adverb, cuánto is invariable: ¿Cuánto cuesta? But when it precedes a noun it acts as an adjective and must agree: ¿Cuántos libros tienes? ¿Cuántas personas vinieron?. Also used in exclamations: ¡Cuánta gente!
💡
Indirect questions keep the accent — Question words keep their accent even when embedded in a statement (indirect question): No sé dónde está. Me preguntó cuándo llegaba. Dime cómo se hace. If you could replace the clause with a direct question, the accent stays.
