📚 Quick grammar review
📌
Frequency adverbs and double negativesSiempre (always) and nunca (never) are the frequency extremes; others include a veces, frecuentemente, raramente, a menudo. When nunca/jamás follow the verb, add no before it: No viene nunca. If they come first, drop no: Nunca viene. Both forms are correct.
🔧
Ya, todavía, and aún — how they shift meaningYa = already (positive) / no longer (negative): Ya llegó / Ya no vive aquí. Todavía / aún = still (positive) / yet (negative): Todavía está aquí / Todavía no ha llegado. These shifts in meaning depending on sentence polarity are one of the trickiest areas for English speakers.
💡
Antes and después — flexible positioningAntes (before/previously) and después (after/later) can stand alone or introduce a phrase with de: Antes comía aquí / Antes de comer, lávate las manos. They can start the sentence or end it: Lo haré después / Después lo haré — both are natural.
