Irregular verbs to masterHacer → hago (yo) — very irregular: hago, haces, hace, hacemos, hacen. Traer → traigo (yo). Entender → entiendo (stem-changing e→ie). Cerrar → cierro (also e→ie). Abrir and cubrir are regular -ir verbs. Getting the yo-form irregular verbs right makes you sound much more fluent.

In practice¿Entiendes lo que digo? (Do you understand what I'm saying?). Apaga las luces al salir (Turn off the lights when you leave). Tengo que terminar este trabajo (I have to finish this work). ¿Me traes un vaso de agua? (Can you bring me a glass of water?). Quiero viajar por toda Latinoamérica (I want to travel all over Latin America).
