📌
Nature, culture and learning — el mar (sea), la noche (night), la montaña (mountain), el caballo (horse), el papel (paper/role), la canción (song), la pregunta (question), el problema (problem — masculine!), el rey (king), el curso (course/academic year).
🔧
Don't be tricked by -a endings — el problema is masculine despite ending in -a — it comes from Greek. Same pattern: el programa, el idioma, el sistema, el tema. Always un gran problema, never una gran problema. El papel can mean paper (material) or role: jugar un papel importante (to play an important role).
💬
Rich example sentences — El rey cabalgó por la montaña (The king rode through the mountain). La canción sonó toda la noche (The song played all night). Tengo una pregunta sobre el curso (I have a question about the course). Es un problema muy complicado (It's a very complicated problem). El mar en invierno está frío (The sea is cold in winter).
