Body parts with definite articles — With body parts, Spanish uses the definite article, not a possessive: Se lastimó los ojos (She hurt her eyes), not sus ojos. Los ojos (eyes) is always plural. La mujer (woman) and la chica (girl) — foundational people vocabulary that appears constantly.
