📐
Nationality adjectives follow the same rules — Nationality adjectives behave like any other adjective: español / española / españoles / españolas. Adjectives ending in a consonant add -a in the feminine: inglés → inglesa, alemán → alemana, francés → francesa. Note the accent disappears in the feminine.
🔧
Adjectives after ser vs estar — The same adjective can follow either ser or estar, but agreement rules are the same either way — the adjective must match the subject. María es alta. María está cansada. The verb changes the meaning; the agreement doesn't change.
💡
Agreement with mixed-gender groups — When an adjective modifies a group containing at least one masculine noun, use the masculine plural: el libro y la revista son interesantes. This "masculine default" plural applies even if the group is mostly feminine nouns.
