A second exercise on Spanish numbers 1–20. Great for consolidating the spellings of numbers that are often confused. Beginner level.

📌
Large numbers and beyond — cien (100), doscientos/as (200 — agrees with gender!), quinientos/as (500), mil (1,000 — no article), un millón (1,000,000 — takes an article). From 200 upward, hundreds agree with what they modify: doscientas personas, quinientos euros.
🔧
Milestones to master — Mil never takes an indefinite article in Spanish: it's mil, not un mil. But un millón always does — and it's followed by de before a noun: un millón de personas (one million people). Billón in Spanish is a trillion (10¹²), not a billion — a classic false friend.
💬
Using large numbers naturally — El edificio tiene doscientos metros de altura (The building is 200 metres tall). Hay más de dos mil estudiantes (There are more than 2,000 students). Ganó un millón de euros (He won a million euros). ¿Cuántos habitantes tiene la ciudad? (How many inhabitants does the city have?).
