📌
Regular future: add endings to the infinitive — The future tense is formed by adding endings directly to the full infinitive — no stem changes needed for regular verbs: hablaré, hablarás, hablará, hablaremos, hablaréis, hablarán. The same endings apply to all three verb groups (-ar, -er, -ir).
🔧
Accent marks on most future endings — All future endings carry a written accent except -emos: hablaré, hablarás, hablará, hablaremos, hablaréis, hablarán. The accent preserves the stress on the ending and also distinguishes future forms from other tenses (e.g. hablará vs habla).
💡
Future for conjecture in the present — The future tense is frequently used to express probability or speculation about the present — not just future events: ¿Dónde estará Juan? (Where can Juan be? / I wonder where Juan is). Tendrá unos cuarenta años (He must be about forty). This "epistemic" future is very common in spoken Spanish.
