Free Spanish exercise on regular affirmative tú imperative commands. Fill in the correct command form. Elementary–intermediate level.
📚 Quick grammar review
📌
Regular affirmative tú commands — The affirmative tú command for regular verbs is identical to the 3rd-person singular present indicative: él habla → tú habla; él come → tú come; él abre → tú abre. This makes regular tú commands easy — if you know the present tense, you already know the command.
🔧
Stem-changing verbs keep their changes — Stem-changing verbs keep the same change in the tú command as in the present tense: volver → vuelve → tú vuelve; pedir → pide → tú pide; cerrar → cierra → tú cierra. The command form is simply the 3rd-person singular — no new stem to learn.
💡
Pronoun attachment in affirmative commands — Object and reflexive pronouns attach to the end of an affirmative tú command, sometimes requiring a written accent to preserve stress: Damelo, Cuéntamelo, Escríbeme. Two pronouns attach in the order IOP + DOP: Dámelo (give it to me).
