📌
Vocabulary for detailed weather discussion.
🔧
Granizar and other weather verbs — Granizar (to hail) is used impersonally like llover: graniza (it's hailing). Lloviznar (to drizzle) → llovizna. Hacer fresco (to be cool/fresh — pleasant cool): Hoy hace fresco, necesitas una chaqueta. La temperatura is measured in Celsius (°C) throughout the Spanish-speaking world — grados centígrados.
💬
Weather forecast language — El pronóstico dice que habrá tormenta (The forecast says there'll be a storm). Está nublado pero no hace frío (It's cloudy but not cold). Cae una llovizna suave (A light drizzle is falling). La brisa del mar es agradable (The sea breeze is pleasant). ¿A cuántos grados está? (What temperature is it?).
