Torso and joint vocabulary — el pecho (chest), la espalda (back), el cuello (neck), el hombro (shoulder), la rodilla (knee), el tobillo (ankle), la muñeca (wrist). These are the body parts most needed when describing injury, exercise, or physical sensation.
🔧
Reflexive body expressions — Spanish uses reflexive verbs with body-part objects: Me lavé los dientes (I brushed my teeth), Se torció el tobillo (She twisted her ankle), Levántate y estira los brazos (Stand up and stretch your arms). The body part takes los/las, not a possessive.

Describing symptoms — Me duele el pecho (My chest hurts). Tengo el cuello tieso (My neck is stiff). Tiene los hombros muy tensos (His shoulders are very tense). Se le cayó el pelo (His/her hair fell out). Essential phrases for the doctor's office or gym.
