Cinema vocabulary essentials — el elenco (cast), los subtítulos (subtitles), el guión (screenplay/script), animado (animated), la comedia (comedy), la secuela (sequel), el personaje (character), la trama (plot), salir (to come out/release), malísimo/a (terrible — superlative of malo).

Superlatives with -ísimo — Malísimo is the absolute superlative — worse than just malo. The pattern: drop the final vowel and add -ísimo/a: bueno → buenísimo, fácil → facilísimo, lento → lentísimo. It expresses an extreme degree: ¡La película fue malísima! (The film was absolutely terrible!). Very common in spoken Spanish.

Talking about films — ¿Cuándo sale la secuela? (When does the sequel come out?). El guión era increíble (The screenplay was incredible). El personaje principal me cayó muy bien (I really liked the main character). Tiene un elenco muy conocido (It has a very well-known cast). ¿Tiene subtítulos en español?
