Account for:
Explicar. Justificar. ex. "No podemos explicar/justificar estos gastos." (We can't account for these expenses.)

Act on (something):
Seguir (algo). Implementar (algo). Actuar sobre (algo). Guiarse por (algo).
ex. "Se guió por sus principios." (He acted on his principles.); "No van a seguir eso." (They're not going to act on that.)

Act up:
Agitarse. Alterarse. Agravarse.
ex. "Cuando mis alergías se agitan/agravan, no puedo salir." (When my alergies act up, I can't go out.)

Add up:
1) Sumar.
ex. "Eso no suma." (It doesn't add up.)
2) Cuadrar. Tener sentido. Encajar.
ex. "Hay algo que no cuadra." (There's something that doesn't add up.)

Add up to:
Sumar en total. Convertirse en. Resultar.
ex. "...para sumar en total $500" (...which add up to/adding up to $500); "Eso se convertió/ Eso resultó en grandes ahorros." (This added up to big savings.)

Ask around:
Preguntar. Correr la voz.
ex. "Corre la voz!" (Ask around!)

Ask (somebody) out:
Invitar (a alguien) a una cita. Invitar (a alguien) a salir.
ex. "La invité a salir." (I asked her out.)"

Ask over:
Invitar (a alguien) a su casa.
ex. "Invité a mi primo a mi casa." (I asked my cousin over.)"

Attend to (something/someone):
Ocuparse de (algo). Atender a (alguien).
ex. "Me voy a ocupar de este asunto." (I'll attend to this matter.)
