Phrase to help you learn to recognize what directions someone is giving you:


The restaurant is on the corner.
El restaurante está en la esquina.

The hotel is next to the bank.
El hotel está al lado del banco.

The store is in front of your hotel.
La tienda está en frente de su hotel.

It's very close.
Está muy cerca.

It's far.
Está lejos.

Too far to walk.
Demasiado lejos para caminar.

The museum is behind the post office.
El museo está detrás de la oficina de correos.

Go this way.
Vaya por acá.

The zoo is one hour by car.
El zoológico está a una hora en coche.

Can I walk to the center from here?
¿Puedo ir al centro a pie desde aquí?

Downtown is a twenty minutes walk from here.
